The World Language Departments of Community High School District 128 empower students to become DARING global citizens who communicate effectively, embrace diverse perspectives, and engage meaningfully with the world.

Through language learning, students develop the ability to connect, advocate, and make a difference while gaining a deeper appreciation of diverse identities and cultures. We foster resilience by encouraging students to embrace challenges, persevere through linguistic and cultural barriers, and build confidence in their communication skills. Our curriculum nurtures curiosity, guiding students to explore the world’s histories, perspectives, and traditions while thinking critically and creatively. We prepare students to adapt their language skills to real-world applications, express themselves across multiple modes of communication, and navigate complexity with agility.

Above all, we value multilingualism as a bridge to understanding, fostering meaningful connections that promote collaboration in our interconnected world. Through our commitment to language education, we equip students with the skills and perspectives necessary to thrive in an increasingly diverse and global society.
