Social Studies

The Social Studies Department is committed to educating students to become discerning, compassionate, and intelligently active citizens in our democracy by pondering problems, questioning convention, and proposing solutions to global, national, and local issues of importance. 

The foundation for this mission fosters an awareness of, and appreciation for, multiple viewpoints of people and cultures of the world, highlighting unique perspectives of time and space while engendering a clearer vision of our nation and the world in the future.
