Math Help Desk
What: Ask questions or get additional explanation on any math concept

Tips:
- No appointment with a teacher necessary.
- The Math Help desk is a great place to come to ask questions about any level of math.
- Teachers at the Math Help Desk can help you study/practice for quizzes and tests, or review a concept/lesson that you missed while absent.
- While the Math Help Desk teachers will assist you in completing your homework, we ask that you attempt the assignment first and seek help when you have a specific question about a problem. Additionally, teachers ask that you seek support from a peer tutor prior to meeting with a staff member for support.

English Help Desk
What: Conference with a peer tutor about any piece of writing (bring your rubric)

Who: Open to all VHHS Students
Tips:
- No appointment necessary.
- Have your assignment, prompt & rubric ready to go.
- Have a clear idea of what you'd like the tutors to help you with (say, sentence errors and imagery. . .) Avoid general statements such as "Can you look over my paper?"
- Use this recommended chart to organize your questions before, during and after the writing conference.
- Do not expect the tutors to read an entire paper during your conference.
- Make additional visits to the ARC for longer writing pieces
World Language Help Desk
