The Illinois State Scholar Program recognizes Illinois high school students for outstanding academic achievement. Students ranking in the top 10 percent of the state’s graduating seniors are recognized as Illinois State Scholars. While the program does not provide a monetary award, the designation as an Illinois State Scholar can be listed on applications for college admissions and scholarships.
