2006 Awards

The Varsity, JV and Freshman cheerleading squads recently attended a private camp presented by the Universal Cheerleaders Association.  Several of the cheerleaders were recognized for their outstanding talant and effort during camp!

Varsity placed 1st at the Libertyville Cheerleading Invitational, 1st at the Warren Regional Competition, and have qualified for the ICCA State Cheerleading Competition March 13 and 14.  (picture)

Winter Cheerleading Awards Night

The winter cheerleading awards night celebrated the teams' success both on and off the competition floor.  The Varsity team qualified for the state tournament and the JV team placed significantly high at both of its regional competitions.  The entire program worked hard to support the variety of athletic programs at VHHS and succeeded in promoting a positive image of cheerleading among coaches, parents, teachers, and students.  All cheerleaders were recognized for their contributions to the team, and the ceremony concluded with farewell speeches from graduating seniors and their parents.
